Grandma’s Aunt Sally Cookies

I’m sharing my family’s favorite Christmas cookie recipe in memory of my Grandma Dolly. She graciously made them for us every Christmas. We miss her and her cookies too. Only she was as sweet!

Cookie cutters that work. The dough is soft, therefore some cookie cutters don’t work, especially ones that have skinny areas like a reindeer. They need to be tall as well. The one in front is a traditional Aunt Sally shape. The dough can be cut into squares with a knife, as an alternative.

Rolling Up the Carpet #14 (Final)

I enjoyed working with textures in this painting.

“Frosted Wheats #2” WIP 01

I felt like doing another painting of snow covered hay bales, and make it bigger but still small. I’m gettting warmed up right now from after my hiatus, and that makes it time for exploration. This way I can do more quicker.
